Destruction of Jerusalem Temple (Treating the Subject in Classic Jewish Texts) Věra Razáková This thesis focuses mainly on texts describing the Temple's very destruction, be it by the Babylonian army in 587 BC or later on by the Roman army in 70 CE. In addition, it also inspects circumstances of the conquer and the destruction of the Temple and the city of Jerusalem immediately preceded. The examined texts are (with some exceptions) the texts of classical rabbinic literature of antiquity. Although there is no doubt about how crucial the event (i. e. the demise of the Temple and the Temple Cult in Judaism) was, its image in the literature is not a massive one. Also, there are mostly individual references on a smaller scale. This is especially true of examining the causes of the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem. Other mentions in halachic texts are similarly sketchy. Dealing with the changes forced by the extinction of the Temple, the central Temple cult, and Temple sacrificial worship. The main texts of this group are Mishna and Tosefta. The Gemara of the Babylonian (and also Jerusalem) Talmud, and in particular, some selected Midrashim are a much richer source for the subject under scrutiny. Mount of the Mother of God as "sacrum locum"

The bachelor's thesis "Hora Matky Boží" deals with the Marian pilgrimage site near the town of Králíky. In addition to the Holy Hut, which was not built, the Holy Steps and the Jerusalem Temple are symbolically commemorated here. The initiator of the pilgrimage area conceived in this way was Tobiáš Jan Becker, Bishop of Hradec Králové. The work will focus on the history and significance of individual objects in terms of historical, art-historical, but also symbolic. The Mountain of the Mother of God will be treated as a "sacrum locum", reminiscent of the Holy Land from which came objects of this work.
Jesus' Purification of the Jerusalem Temple: Historicity and Theological Accents in Gospels

The thesis "Jesus Cleansing the Jerusalem Temple: History and Theological Accents in Individual Gospels" deals with the event described by all four canonical Gospels. The paper describes the appearance of the Jerusalem Temple in Jesus' time and selected aspects of its spiritual, political, economic and sociological role in the life of the Jewish population of Palestine in the 1st century AD. The author notices the selected negative circumstances that could have led Jesus of Nazareth to enter the Jerusalem temple with the intention of disrupting the order and returning the Temple to its original purpose. The author pays great attention to evidence to confirm the theory that the "event" in the Temple occurred twice. One at the beginning of Jesus' public activity (described in the Gospel according to John) and once at the end (described in synoptics). Analysis of the Biblical Trust in the World of Pentateuch

This Study elaborates the topic of Biblical Trust in the World of Pentateuch. This trust is understood as to rely in a purely subjective way on a word or instruction of some person. In case of God it frequently means a conviction that some humanly unrealizable promises are to be fulfilled. Such attitude secures to the trusting person merits before God. Rely on God is often understood in a confrontational way as opposite to the life of unbelievers. Trust requires courage to make leap in the dark. Meanwhile it is always right to trust in God, trust in a human person is in Pentateuch interpreted as fool. But if the respective man is the spokesman of God, the eventual mistrust is seen as an attack against God himself. In case of God's revelation trust becomes duty. If there is any doubt people can ask some sign of authenticity for the presented God's will. But if the will is known, eventual mistrust is interpreted as disobedience and follows a severe punishment. The same trust which belongs to God is required also for his prophet and for the Law proclaimed in the God's name. If somebody relies on himself in sense of exaggerated self-confidence which does not count on God, it is understood as a crime. In the same manner is valuated the trust directed towards the pagan divinities.
